Είναι και μια περιοχή ταυτοχρόνως όπου λόγω της προεξάχουσας ανατομικής της θέσης τα σημάδια γήρανσης και κούρασης είναι ακόμα πιο εμφανή.
Η επέμβαση της Πλαστικής Χειρουργικής , που αντιμετωπίζει την περίσσεια του δέρματος ( δερματοχάλαση) και του λίπους ( οι λεγόμενες “σακούλες”) τόσο στα άνω όσο και στα κάτω βλέφαρα, είναι η βλεφαροπλαστική.
Αποτελεί μια από τις ωραιότερες επεμβάσεις της πλαστικής χειρουργικής, καθώς προσφέρει άμεσα ορατά αποτελέσματα.
Μπορεί να συνδυασθεί και με άλλες επεμβάσεις προσώπου ή σώματος.
Επέμβαση
Η βλεφαροπλαστική πραγματοποιείται κυρίως με τοπική νάρκωση ή μέθη, αλλά φυσικά και με γενική νάρκωση αν κάποιος ασθενής το επιθυμεί.
Στον χρόνο της επέμβασης μπορούμε να παρέμβουμε στα άνω βλέφαρα μόνο, ή στα κάτω βλέφαρα μόνο ή και στα άνω και τα κάτω μαζί.

Η τομή στα άνω βλέφαρα είναι επιμήκης και κρύβεται σε μια φυσιολική πτυχή του δέρματος , με αποτέλεσμα να μην είναι εμφανής.
Στα κάτω βλέφαρα, η τομή τοποθετείται λίγα χιλιοστά μόλις απο το ελεύθερο χείλος των βλεφαρίδων και πάλι “κρύβεται” σε φυσιολογικές ρυτίδες του δέρματος.

Μετεγχειρητικά στην περιοχή των ματιών υπάρχει ήπιο οίδημα και εκχυμώσεις που υποχωρούν σταδιακά. Το οίδημα αντιμετωπίζεται με την εφαρμογή ψυχρών επιθεμάτων που μπορεί να συνεχίσει να εφαρμόζει και στο σπίτι ο ασθενής για λίγες ώρες μετά.

Επιπλοκές
